Nestled among the pōhutukawa trees on Island Bay’s The Parade, Seed to Sea is a small but mighty urban food garden, fuelled by the growing powers of seaweed, worm castings, organic compost and other South Coast ocean goodness.
What began as a desire to grow delicious organic food has evolved into a living coastal permaculture system: a place for building healthy soil, growing seasonal produce, sharing abundance, learning with others and caring for place.
