Our Story
Centred in self-sufficiency and the desire to eat delicious organic homegrown produce, We began transforming our urban garden in 2020 and haven’t looked back since.
From humble beginnings as a mostly grassed plot with one well loved walnut tree and established orange tree - the space now holds 9 chickens, a composting system, worm farm, 18 feijoa trees, 8 apple trees, a strawberry plot and asparagus grove.
At Seed to Sea, it’s all about community - growing, sharing and learning together.
My name is Davina Ewing, the garden gloves behind Seed to Sea. I’ve always had a love for garden design and organic growing. But it wasn’t until 2020 when the vulnerabilities of our food supply system were shown that I felt a call to action. I started growing food at home with purpose.
Along with my husband Steve, we currently work as a gardening team for private clients in Wellington and the Wairarapa. Dealing with garden scale ranging from large farm plots to apartment balconies - We love finding the right mix of function and style.
