Crop Swap gatherings are for everyone who is happy to share.
Our Crop Swap will be run by Seeds to Feeds, supporting sustainable practices and encouraging the sharing of homegrown goodness within our community.
Come and share the abundance from your kitchen or summer garden at the Island Bay Crop Swap!
Its Valentines Day, so let's support everyone to celebrate by bringing flowers, strawberries, the baking you wooed your partner with, your single friends or your most beloved.
Everyone and all contributions are welcome - even if you don’t have anything to share.
We will gather at the Island Bay Community Centre at 12.30 on Saturday 14th February for cake and coffee, before the sharing begins at 1pm.
The Crop Swap is supported by our friends at Seeds to Feeds.
Just bring your garden's and kitchen's surplus, turn up in time (or even a little earlier to help with the set up), display your treasures nicely, admire your fellow crop swappers goodies, mix and mingle,
share your best jam recipe and enjoy the presence of people who find joy in the moneyless exchange of abundance.
Once everyone is officially welcomed and the sharing is opened you are invited to mindfully take what you are interested in. Everything is there to go to a new home.
Take your time and keep other's in mind, the slower ones, the children, the elders, so that everyone has the chance to fill their baskets.
After this please help with the clean up, get home safely and tell everyone, how awesome it was.
Next time, bring a friend
